Pepper

Meet Pepper! She is looking for a new home!
Pepper was found outside in early June and brought into our hospital. We attempted to find Pepper's original owners but we were unable to. We suspect Pepper may have been outside for some time as she needed lots of love and TLC when she first came to us! ❤ Pepper was thin and was found to have 2 previous leg fractures that have healed over. As you can see from her photo, she does have some leg deformities and will need to be in a home that can assist her with any arthritic complications or changes she may run into in years to come. For now, she gets around her cage just fine! She is quite adventurous and doesn't let her leg deformities hold her back from exploring new things. We have given her some ladders and platforms to rest on and she enjoys those very much. Pepper has been tested for Avian chlamydiosis and has been fully converted to a pelleted diet!
We hope Pepper can settle into a new home soon! She does come with the cage she is in.

Nola

Meet Nola, the beautiful Green-Winged Macaw. Nola is looking for her forever home!
Nola was very loved by her previous owner but unfortunately had to be turned into our care due to her previous owner receiving a terminal illness diagnosis. ❤
We are happy to report that she is getting along with the staff so well! We love having her here but of course want her to go to a home that she can settle into.
This girl is so sweet! She even knows how to "blow a kiss". Nola enjoys walks, getting treats and exploring. As you can see, she does have some feather plucking behavior. This will need to be monitored throughout her life but she does not currently take any medications.
Nola has not been DNA tested so her sex is unknown but she has been referred to as a girl for most of her life. We estimate Nola to be 11 years old. She is also negative for Avian Chlamydiosis.
She is adorable and we think you will think so too!
